The Ambassador's Mission by Trudi Canavan

5.0

Trudi Canavan is one of those writers that really grows as she writes. I thoroughly enjoyed the first of her newest trilogy, which starts a couple of years after the 1st trilogy ends. Black Magician Sonea's son is grown, and the city has a rogue. Or possible, a couple of rogues. It also has a deadly addiction threatening to take over the city and/or the Guild.

And a lot of other interesting things happen as well. ;)

It has been a long time since a book kept me so bound that I read it within a few days. If you're looking for new fantasy to try out, Trudi Canavan might be the one you should try out. Her writing definitely improves with each book, and although this trilogy (the 3rd one she has written) does not require knowledge of the first trilogy she wrote, it is always good to know the characters that you are dealing with so well. The 2nd trilogy she wrote was The Age of Five, and they were all highly enjoyable reads, keeping the reader spellbound and captivated by the world created.
