I always seem to fall for the murder mysteries with a clever title and a fun cover. But every single one has disappointed me. This book lacked character depth, I finished about 40% of the book and frankly I didn’t give two sh*ts who killed Frances. Nothing in the story is suspenseful or thrilling and if it gets better after the 40% then…wow. All of the characters were flat, if anyone had any depth, it was probably the gardner, who was mentioned, maybe a handful of times, and had a few lines here and there. just not a good book. I’m giving it 2.5 stars because the story sounded very intriguing, and really could’ve been great.
