It's been a while since I've picked up a contemporary fiction novel that got me turning pages faster than ever before. I inhaled this book and despite my binge eating of the author's words, I was still able to pause and reflect on how I could relate with the characters. I'm happy that I jumped onto the bandwagon and I hope my 2021 reading continues with high quality novels like this.

If you want a book that analyzes identity (race, gender, familial relationships, etc.) this book tackles a whole lot of it.
