The Magnolia Palace
by Fiona Davis
Fiona Davis is a master of historical fiction.
The Magnolia Palace seamlessly intertwines two stories decades apart taking place at the same locale, the Frick House in New York City. With incredible characters and a wisp of mystery, Davis pulls the reader into the story of the Frick family and several relative strangers who float on the outskirts of their world.
I love that Davis blends history and fiction. She shares information about one of the most extensive art collections on the world while spinning a story that was difficult to put down. I highly recommend for fans of historical fiction, especially if you like the gilded age.
