i struggled with this one a lot. dune differs from most other series where you don’t have the same or similar cast of characters from one book to the next. the story has spanned 5000 years which is a lot to intake and makes getting into each new story a bit difficult, which was very true for me here. i was hoping that all the build-up with the characters was going to lead to something a bit bigger like previous books, so i couldn’t keep the three star chain chugging in good faith
