With some books, you just have to know when it's an "it's-not-you-it's me" kinda situation. Example 1) this book.
I did have really high expectations going into this because I adored the 3rd book in this series, [b:The Lights on Knockbridge Lane|57542258|The Lights on Knockbridge Lane (Garnet Run #3)|Roan Parrish|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1624002371l/57542258._SY75_.jpg|90107891]. And there was absolutely nothing wrong with this book, but it also didn't captivate me like the last book in this series did. :/
