Is the plot unique? Not particularly; there are other books like it. However; the author does add their own twist on things that just perfectly make this book unforgettable.

My two main issues with this book that brought it from a 5 to a 4. Those long chapters are out of control, one of them was 94 minutes on audiobook and the average was like 60 minutes. There needs to be breaks, true breaks for readers and that was super frustrating. The other thing is the age in which these kids started kissing was, a bit young. 90+ kisses by age 9....as a mother i'd be throwing hands if my daughter was kissing a boy this much. He was also sneaking into her bedroom every night at age 12 which is also just way way too young.

Overall though I would recommend this book and please just trust the process and go into the book blind. The story line will hit you so much harder if you do.
