Cozy fantasy might be my new favorite genre! I liked how the story was low stakes, but there was still an intriguing plot. There was an undercurrent of "something isn't right here" throughout Viv setting up her shop that kept things interesting. Travis Baldree is an incredible audiobook narrator. I really liked how subtle the worldbuilding was, not overt, which is a credit to the intelligence of the reader. I think that all of the characters were great, but especially Amity and Thimble. I'm excited to read the prequel as another cozy fantasy, though I like Viv as she is now so I'm only cautiously optimistic.
