Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

5.0

People who are fans of [a:Celeste Ng|164692|Celeste Ng|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1404857644p2/164692.jpg] will love her second book Little Fires Everywhere. I was excited to be back inside of her literary mind as she took us into the quaint streets of suburban Ohio. Once again it is an excellent weave of characters and objectives as we combine the Richardson's controlled life with the whirlwind that is Mia and Pearl. I loved the book from the beginning to the end and am still left thinking of one character in particular well into the next day.

Spoiler
Mrs. Richardson was the most fascinating character for me out of the whole book. There is no doubting that Celeste Ng has the most amazing way of crawling into the shoes of a woman who is questioning her overall life choices and wear her around the block. Mrs. Richardson, much like the mother figure in her first book, is a complex character whose veins are full of blood and is flawed just like a real living breathing person. Now, although she isn't the most likeable of the characters I do feel that is what makes her the most realistic. Sometimes we have to confront the traits we dont like the most in each other to realize that is what makes us human and in this case makes me love Celeste Ng's work again and again.
