Famous Last Words
By: Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter

Claudia Burgoa, my heart can't take it! This book has a bit of everything, but what a story.I started this and could not stop listening. Not only is the narration impeccable, the characters stole my heart. Seraphina(Fifi) has been living, but not happily since the death of her brother and sister. Not only did she lose those two that day, but the reason for the crash is throws her even more. Blamed by her mother, she gets out of the toxic environment and starts a physical therapy clinic. On the verge of bankruptcy, she is offered a client that could pull it out, but will she take him? Brahms is Fifi's first love, and her brother's best friend. He is racked with survivor's guilt from the crash and his life is in a downward tailspin. Now in need of not only mental help, an accident has left him in a way that could possibly end his music career. Will Fifi take him on? This is emotional is so many ways. Burgoa is a master at ripping out my heart and putting it back piece by piece. With these two, she packs in so much, switches easily from past to present giving all the background I need, and keeps me wondering if Fifi should just give in! Secrets are plentiful, and minds are closed so this is a tough one, but the ending is perfect. Oh, and let me just say, the names of all Brahms's brothers are fantastic! Love the musical theme and I hope we get to hear more!

Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke are fabulous together as these Fifi and Brahms. Hunter is emotionally charges as Fifi begins to deal with her feelings. From past and present, she brings out all the things that need to be dealt with and touches my heart with each one. Clarke, the grumpy, broody, broken Brahms is amazing. He just delves into the heart of this man, let me feel his pain and how he pulls himself out with the love he has for Fifi. These two are the perfect melody for this story.
