Nettleblack by Nat Reeve

The thing I liked best about this book was that the protagonist was shy and stutters and not at all a quipping strongheaded young adult with a steel spine. Don't get me wrong, I love those characters too, but it was a breath or fresh air to read Henry instead.

That said, I was ready to fist fight the book the entire way for them cos they're so NICE and everyone else was being MEAN
