I have been reading a lot of Thor comics lately and really love Rick Riordan's Magnus Chase series so I was very happy to hear Neil Gaiman was writing a book about Norse mythology. I've really wanted to learn more about the gods, the nine realms and Ragnarok. Gaiman is such an incredible story teller - and I really love listening to him narrate in the audiobook version. These stories are funny, adventurous and thrilling. They don't always have a moral and only sometimes explain things like why we have earthquakes - and I really liked that. I also found it interesting how these stories have inspired so many other stories I love like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Gaiman tells these stories in a way only he can and my only problem with this book was that it wasn't longer!
