This was a different take on a second chance romance because it is about a married couple. I like the letter writing and the realistic view of what marriage looks like. Both Brooks and Emryn have flaws and different things they need to work on. This book starts off so sad. This book reminds me that we need to see people struggle in their walks with God and see them come out on the other side of hardship.
“Love has to be cultivated to grow. My parents are proof of that. It’s not a seed you can plant in the ground and hope it survives. It requires constant attention and care.”
“God lends us the things in our lives and it’s our responsibility to care for them, especially people.”
