Enjoyed the concept of this story overall, especially the magical typewriters. Unfortunately, the way and speed at which relationships progress in this world (beyond just the central relationship) just doesn't ring true to me. It felt like certain characters were suddenly forced into a romantic (or even platonic) relationships solely to have emotional impact later in the book, but since it happened so fast I didn't feel that impact. Also, I wasn't convinced by the purpose/backstory behind the war or how things came together to resolve it. Finally, and this is a purely personal thing, but I think I am just a little bored with memory loss storylines of this sort right now and this one in particular didn't pack the emotional punch I was hoping for.
