I love me a kick-ass babysitter.

This was fun and so vivid. Emily Ruth Verona's writing can transport you into the story where you feel like you're a fly on the wall. Your can smell, taste, and feel every word. As someone who was around 1993, I only had 2 things to correct for accuracy. The main story is set on Friday, October 15, 1993 for context. My first correction is:

1)Thirteen Ghosts came out in 2001, there is no way that Amy could have seen or known Thirteen Ghosts unless she meant the original that came out in 1960. I was never made clear on this... I'd like to think she meant the 1960 one since she was clearly a horror movie buff. However, I don't like being left to assume.

2) Amy mentions that Halloween falls on a Sunday, but a quick Google search says it was on a Thursday. I don't remember that far back, but I trust it. I went as a 3-headed monster with two of friends that year. It was cold and miserable lol.

These aren't important, it's a fictional story...but for accuracy and knowing that these would have been easy corrections, and an easy thing to clarify, I questioned why it wasn't? This isn't the author's fault, nor anyone's...I just don't like the reader being left with assumptions or tid-bits that sound like it's fact. Overall, this was strong, and I cannot wait to read more from Emily.
