I Killed Zoe Spanos
by Kit Frick
It's 5am and I just finished the audio and safe to say I won't be able to sleep.
This gripping thriller has been on my TBR for a while, and when I finished AGGGTM, I knew I needed to give this one a shot. But if you're looking for a book with the same feeling of Holly Jackson's famous serie, this ain't it.
I loved the way the story went back and forth between past and present, and how the clues didn't give any alibis to the suspects until the very end of the book. Until the 90% mark, all of the suspects could have potentially killed Zoe, and I found that sooo well-done by the author. The fact that we're going down the rabbit hole of looking for what happened to Zoe with Anna, and her fuzzy memories, which made her an unreliable narrator from start to finish, was so well-executed I almost cried with her at the end.
I'm notoriously bad to guess plot-twists, and I guessed only half of it. But I have to admit I was looking for a much more dramatic way to solve the murder and the real discovery of what happened to Zoe Spanos, and I still have a few plot points that are unanswered.
Very good thriller, made me lose my mind a bit. I listened to the audiobook and the full cast of it gave the narration and eerie and almost netflix-like feeling, that I loved.
