I read this at the recommendation of my librarian. Charley Davidson is a P.I. and a grim reaper. Theoretically, she is helping the police solve the mystery of three dead lawyers. Sadly, this ends up playing a very minor role in the book. Much of the book is devoted to Charley trying to figure out what is up with her supernatural dream lover. Yes. Really. Hot, explicit paranormal sex. Sometimes while others are in the room and have no idea what Charley is suddenly off in her own world.

I have no intentions of reading any more of the series unless someone can prove that they actually become mysteries and not paranormal romances.
