I enjoyed most of the book. I would have liked this book more if not for the very last lines. I get Jakob being glad the attackers left, and that his people are at peace with the Tevarans. However, it seems to suggest he’s also happy about Wold’s death. Wold was a very flawed man, but he was still Rolery’s father. Maybe I’m misinterpreting this part, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
