Starter Villain is one of those books that as you read you have no idea what to expect next. At no point in this story did I figure out the ending. Our main character is Charlie who is kind of the black sheep of the family. And Charlie does not have a lot going for him. He does however, have a fantastic sense of humor and adventure.
The sheer number of nerd references is astounding but yet wholly necessary for our characters. I got a couple of chapters in and immediately made my husband download the audiobook and then he finished it before me! This book was over the top dramatic in the best way and Charlie might be one of my favorite characters. The dolphins had me CACKLING! Highly recommend for nerds and people with taste.
