My Sister Rosa by Justine Larbalestier
3.0

I'm unsure of how many stars should I give to this book. On one side, I loved the whole Rosa story arc. Her conversations with Che were creepy, but in a good sense: they kept me hooked. And that ending, gosh. Before starting this book, I already knew there was a twist at the end and I kept guessing what was going to happen, but I didn't expect this.
On the other hand, the book was way too long and slow-paced. Every moment that Che spent with Sojourner and his friends (and it wasn't related to Rosa's psychopathy), I groaned and wanted to skip a couple pages until something interesting happened again. I mean, it's supposed to be a book about Che dealing with his sister's mental illness, the summary even says so, but it's more of a coming-of-age story and Rosa's plot line is often pushed to the background.
