I really enjoyed being back in Osman's writing his style, how sarcastic humour is second to none. I also liked that it was different to the Murder Club series, especially with our characters but I did find the characters a bit 2D compared to the phenomenal ones we've had in his previous books. I'm saying that because I think we've been spoilt before - I think I could honestly recognise Joyce if she walked down the street, but I found I didn't have as vivid a picture of our three MC's in this.
I also found the story line a little crazy and unbelievable, but every time I thought I would start to get annoyed the humour brought me right back and I was hooked again.
I originally gave the first Murder Club book a 4 and then the rest were continuously 5 stars, so I'm hoping that it will be the same with this series.
