Lovecraft is regarded as the godfather, if not father, of horror fiction, and having read these stories I can absolutely understand why.
It took me a very long time to get through this immense tome, but it was worth it. Every story contained chills and frights, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of them. Personal favourites definitely include Call of Cthulhu, Shadow Over Innsmouth and The Thing On The Doorstep.
As with many others, reading Lovecraft's work has also proved quite inspiring for my own work.
I would absolutely recommend this book to those who desire a comprehensive look at this literary master's work, though it is quite the undertaking, and his writing style does take a little adjustment.
