This would have been better if a lot had been cut out. The first and second parts should have been two separate books. Also, I could not stand the number of inconsistencies/last minute revelations. Violet and Xadan's constant fights were becoming so monotonous I wanted to tear my hair out. They were a broken record. That being said, my curiosity kept me going, and the fight scenes are at least fun
