Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton

I'm gonna be honest with you, when I read the description of this book I truly thought it was a fantasy novel(which was what I was looking for), so I was kinda disappointed when it wasn't. Despite this, I kept reading and I really liked the part were Addie tries to solve her great-grandma's murder. I liked the letters and the fact they both have stalkers.
However, Addie's stalker, Zade, I didn't like. Addie's relationship with him was fucked up and there were moments when I truly felt it was too dark for me (and this is not my first dark romance). Zade didn't understand boundaries and he was violent for no reason.
But the thing that made this book too much for me was the pedophiles. I get that Zade was fighting them and saving children but just the mention of it makes me feel sick, so the scenes where there were children involved made my skin crawl. I hated that. It's something that I can't deal with. Probably it was my fault for not doing my research before starting the book.
