The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater

5.0

It's been a long time since I've stayed up late, desperate to read the next chapter of a book, but The Dream Thieves made that happen. I was worried that the second book in the series wouldn't be as good as the first (because how can you top the magic of Cabeswater) but I found the new discoveries, and horrible creatures (both dreamed and real: Kavinsky) to be just as engaging and mysterious.

I also really enjoyed learning more about Ronan and his family. The author does a great job of trickling details of each of the boys into the books, but this one really gave me a greater appreciation for Lynch.

The only thing I can say left me a little wanting was Noah. The first book gave us insight to how he is how he is, but I feel his character is the only one not getting the recognition he deserves. That could just be the way it is, his personal growth stopped when his physical growth did, but I love him and wish I could see more of him in the future books.

I look forward to the next book, and I'm forcing myself to sleep before I dive in, despite wanting to know what happens next immediately.
