Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

5.0

Haunting. The story lingers with you, making you grateful for your humanity but heart-broken at the ways in which we steal innocence from each other when trying to shelter others from reality. Told with intentional hollowness, while the ending revelations hold you chillingly to the final page. Those who loved The Giver as a child will appreciate this mature treatment of similar themes. It leaves you unresolved, forced to wrestle with your own answers to the big questions.
