With his accent thick, he bit out one word: “Obsessed.”
Imagining it was the word foremost in his thoughts, I replied with the one foremost in mine: “Revelation.” She's his obsession and he's her revelation.
He regarded me like I was a trapped thing, already his to enjoy.

This was really good! I only wished there was a stronger plot outside of their relationship. Like a little more action in the mafia world.
