Some tense scenes and so cruel - the clone is merciless and indiscriminate, as long as you're food it will eat you - but overshadowed by dull over explanations on nearly every page. Older sci-fi seems obsessed with comprehending the actuality of the scenario it presents. The science of the Clone is irrelevant and just bogs down the story where characters could've been fleshed out
