Tolkien is an absolute genius as an author. His writing is unlike any others, though many have since tried to imitate him. His work on The Hobbit and then The Lord of the Rings have changed storytelling and how many books are written for good reason! The Hobbit is a (mostly) lighthearted adventure. Following Bilbo on his journey was a pleasure, I feel as though I have been a part of it. This is a phenomenal book and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, it's a much easier read than The LOTR, however those are also a must-read if you enjoy The Hobbit!
