I wanted to I really did but I just could not like Hadley. I mean I got where she was coming from but mostly she just came off as whinny… I just… I couldn’t. The mom made me mad when I liked her in the first book which I’m turn made me mad because I didn’t like her. Calder was ok but not as swoon worthy. I loved the two girls but they seemed to talk like teenagers than 9 year olds which made me forget how old they were half the time to I couldn’t fully picture the scenes. 
I still like the author and will continue the series. I mean this author has gotten me out of my reading slump but the book wouldn’t be a reread for me.
