This series is all about the villain ending up with the happily ever after. This one clearly followed Hook from Peter Pan. When I think of Hook, I think of the one from “Once Upon a Time.” I can completely get on board with him having his happily ever after.
Keep in mind that this is a dark romance. There were some scenes that were hard to get through. But overall, this was a very good read that I got done in one sitting.
