I cried.
This was much more character driven than I was expecting, and it was so heartfelt. I loved how the Imura brothers were allowed to show they loved and cared about each other. Such great character growth.
If you're going into this novel expecting the focus to be all gore, violence, and bad-a zombie slaying, then you might want to skip (though there IS all of those things). It's more focused on its themes and characters.
Content warning for some ableist language throughout the story.
