Lean in: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead
by Sheryl Sandberg
This book was recommended to me by a mentor, and while I did get some good advice out of it, a) much of it felt fairly surface level, And b) the second half of the book was almost exclusively advice for mother's and those who desire to be mothers. I didn't really connect with much of that as someone who does not desire to be a mother. I was on board with her general professional advice in the first few chapters, but then she really lost me once she started hyperfocusing on motherhood. It just wasn't for me at that point. There are also some pretty strong notes of privilege that she tries to address but still doesn't seem to quite grasp throughout.
