The Definition of Love by Hinsel Meyer
5.0
"What you don't know is never your fault, Luke. Do you hear me?" - Bennett
"I hear you." - Luke
"I'm having doubts again." - Bennett
"Okay, talk 'em through with me." - Luke
It is so clear to me that all Luke did was survive and not live. The characters are so beautifully written, they feel so real "It has a name", I wanted to hug Luke so bad. He deserves the world. I'm glad he found Bennett, that they found each other. It's time that they both get all the love and support that they deserve. They made a beautiful loving family. And the friends are really a found family!
This is the first book I read by this author and I appreciate the glossary so much, I'm definitely going to read the other books in the serie too. The writing was so easy to read, it was very original. This one was so special, it made me feel seen, the communication was so good, they listened and helped each other. "I just want one person to stay." I’m glad Bennett could just be with Luke, to heal from his past. Luke and Bennett were finding and becoming themselves while being together, this book has the right balance of doing new things by yourself and together. I love the kids so much, they were realistic for their age, they are going to grow up into amazing people with Luke and Bennett by their side and their amazing friends and family! "They built their safe space." - Hinsel Meyer built this world and it really felt like a safe space for me! It’s amazing what people can do with words.
I read this book as an ARC, thank you for the opportunity.
