A Nameless Witch by A. Lee Martinez

5.0

The protagonist is a succubus who spends the first 18 years of her life locked in a basement and neglected by her family, only to be adopted and trained by a witch. When her foster mother is murdered, the succubus sets out on a quest of self discovery wherein she falls in love, grapples with her nature, makes friends, and defeats a sorcerer.

It's pretty straight forward, from characters to settings to quests. But I find the linear simplicity enjoyable - easily entered and exited. It's a light, but fun read. I do wish Sunrise had joined the quest, but I'll just assume she was the fox.
