My Brother's Teammates by Lasairona McMaster, Melissa Ivers

5.0

Charlotte is REALLY down on her luck, and what she does NOT need is finding herself the spectacle in her brother's old flat's lounge when his teammates return home early from an away game. Except, well... There she is. And, it's not quite as uncomfortable for all of them as they all might have thought.

As Jace (who is Charlotte's Brother's Best Friend), Roman (the enigmatic goalie) and Mateo (the life of the party) adjust to having Charlotte living with them, they have to juggle their friendship with Charlotte's brother, Harrison, who is also their captain and their old roommate.

As each of these characters navigate the new aspects of their lives, they learn more of themselves and each other, and find way to move forward.

Jace had the most to realise and learn, considering his longstanding relationship and history with Harrison and Charlotte. I loved watching him accept his truth, and act on it. Watching him come fully out of his shell.

Roman and Mateo have also been best friends for a while, and as they address all that comes up, they too learn and grow into better and stronger men.

I loved watching the dynamics between the characters develop. I loved their banter and interactions. I loved the story and I adored the ending! Certainly A story I look forward to reading again in the future.
