While the premise was very fascinating it become immensely repetitive through the multiple character POV causing the pacing to be thrown off. It would have sufficed as a book half its length. But the exploration of grief and complicated dynamics in friendships and family was really impactful to read. The ending was a bit sudden with very little feeling “resolved” outside of the danger is now gone.
