In Born Sinner, Eden discovers that the world is nothing like she had always believed. There is a spiritual battle going on and she is one of the chess pieces. Lucifer wants to use her for evil, and the only people that can help her prevent that are 7 beings that are the villains of history, including Legion, the demon mentioned by name in the Bible. Eden not only has to decide whether she can trust Legion and the other 6 but whether she can trust herself.

Immortal badass warriors fighting for good are almost always a home run. The Se7en are no exception. They all come across as the perfect blend of dominance, charisma, and attitude. Legion is what many other heroes strive to be. Tortured but still hopeful. Angry but still sweet. Hard but still warm. His determination to protect Eden is what romance is made of.

Eden is what holds this book back from being 5 stars. Her insecurity and horrible self image is understandable given her childhood, but the constant questioning of herself just got annoying. Was she worth saving, was she actually evil, should she just be taken out, blah blah blah. A little bit of self doubt goes a long way.
