I don't think I have been this excited to jump back into a world that wasn't heavy in paranormal/fantasy. The characters are written in such a way that it feels genuine and makes me actively want to know more about them and what made them this way. They write the side characters with such love and realness that you want to know their life, you want to follow the highs and lows.
With this only being my second book with this author I am so excited to read the rest of the series to come. I love all the characters so dearly and I enjoyed that we were stepping into a different sport while still keeping a healthy tie to the characters from the prior story. I think there was only a moment where I had genuine upset towards the end of the book and the lack of understanding some had even after a huge patching up of their feelings and worries.
But nonetheless I love these characters so much!
