Kill to Protect by Santosh Nair

4.0

The book "Kill To Protect" by Santosh Nair is about a child who turns aggressive first gradually and later on rapidly. The sudden transition went unnoticed for a long time until the aggression got aggravated and heeded until the point where the course correction was not effective enough for the path of recovery.

Kill to Protect is a book that will take you on a journey of emotions that will move you. It will make you feel as if you are in the story with the characters living that life. You want to do something and feel anger, love, and sympathy but you will be helpless when it takes twists and turns, which keep you on edge to know - What is next.

The end took me by surprise but I couldn’t think of any other better ending than that. I loved the character of Kavita how mature and understanding a person was and what it is to support someone.

There is a big social message hidden in the book that tells us about how all our actions have consequences. and How sometimes you have to take an unwilling step for the betterment of everyone even if it’s tougher than we imagine.

This is something that everyone should read because it shows us how deeply the decisions could affect a child and how heavy could the prices of it can result. The story of Vinod will force you to think deeply about the steps you decide next. It will show you how bottled feelings are dangerous not just to the person but to also the people connected.

The language of the book is lucid and the story is very simple yet impactful. It is a small read but is also filled with the power to touch your heart and bring out the empathy in you. It will show the way to not pulling your hands back from responsibilities, and how the strength to decide is sometimes necessary, along with how love and relations are important with deep emotions that are to be managed properly.

The last lines of the book were my absolute favourite which is shared above. And you will need the book to understand how they are and what meaning they hold for all of us.

Ab absolute recommendation.
