What a great final installment in a great trilogy. Too many Mistborn fans are sleeping on this series!

Starting a few years after the events of Shorefall, Sancia and Bernice are hiding out away from Trevanne, Craesedes and a world at war.

The action and adventures that happen are a whole other level, with escalations in ways I never could have predicted. The scope is fantastic, as is the world building.

Several other key characters are heavily featured as well as a much large group of supporting cast, but it never feels too overwhelming or tricky to keep up with who is who. And the losses, they are brutual.

It's really hard to review this without spoilers because so much happens and all of it was so good. There is a big identity reveal which I had predicted long before but it didn't take away from my enjoyment at all.

Overall, I loved this, I wish I could have read it closer to the other two books to have kept more details fresh in my mind.

If you're interested in a trilogy where the magic system revolves around in scribing objects with sigials aka commands to give them powers, where there's an ancient threat, great action, characters and relationships then check out book one, Foundryside.
