What a great collection of poetry by a black, queer writer. my favorites are "To every fa*got who pulverized me for being a fa*got, " A victim dissolves into tears", portrait with stiff upper lip" and "pushing up onto its elbows, the fable lifts itself into fact". All of the poems are good but those 4 really spoke to me. It was raw, honest, intense, sad, truthful and so much more all at once. I really enjoyed it and will be checking out more of his work.
