The Summer Cottage by Annie Rains
4.0
I read the second book in the series first and loved it so was excited when the publisher contacted me to review the first book in the series. I really enjoyed this romance. It was sweet with a lot of heart.
Trisha and her son are looking to start over after her ex-husband ended up in jail for fraud. They relocate to a new area where she gets a job overseeing cottages that are along a lake, in exchange for free living. The owner, Vi, is a 70+ year old woman who recently had a stroke. When her grandson, Jake, comes to convince her to sell the cottages, he unexpectedly starts a romance with Trisha.
Jake reminded me so much of my husband - takes an interest in lots of new subjects and hobbies and is a pilot, so I loved reading about him! I thought this book had a great plot and was executed well. It was an easy read and great for the summer.
Thanks to Forever Pub for a copy of this book. Opinions are my own.
