Weaponized Lies: How to Think Critically in the Post-Truth Era by Daniel J. Levitin
4.0
As a scientist, I was looking for a little more out of this book than what it provided. However, it provides a fantastic background and base set of questions for those unfamiliar with how to critically consider thoughts and "facts" provided to us in our everyday lives, instead of just accepting them as is. Even though most of the information provided in this book is not new to me, I must admit that I do find myself considering things in my everyday life that I previously would have either just accepted or brushed over/ignored. Thinking critically about everyday "informational offerings" has always been important to me, but after reading this book I find that I take it much more seriously and put real effort into looking into supporting information and considering the realistic nature of what I hear or read.
