I didn’t really expect this book to go the direction that it did. Once I found out what was “in the water”, I was a bit disappointed. Very anti-climactic. Not to mention super predictable. It was so difficult for me to finish this. Almost every time I picked it up I would make it 2-3 chapters before falling asleep. I almost DNFd it but pushed through in hopes that it would get better. It did not.
There were too many added internal thoughts of the main character that it really bogged the story down. Just wasn’t for me.
