- I LOVE the decision to focus on the narrative of the city slicker who gets left behind in the small town romance. As an avid consumer of Hallmark movies (argue with somebody else, theyโ€™re entertaining), there is of course a misogynistic bent to the notion that a woman who pursues her goals adamantly from the confines of a high rise is less human than the cowgirl next door.
- Charlie Lastra is the most supportive partner. He is effusively proud of Nora. Constantly praising her work ethic and her success, to the point of being willing to hand her his own work and call her better at it. I am obsessed with him.
- For a book with almost no miscommunication, it flows beautifully. These are grown ups making clear declarations and walking through every option.
- The emails!! The texts! The literary references!
- Noraโ€™s relationship to her younger sister Libby is frustrating at times but works out exactly how you would want it to. Natural growing pains when you realize that you have outgrown the comfort of your dynamic.
- โ€œOur familyโ€
- I love to see a woman get it all.
- Get the Target exclusive so you can read the bonus feature at the end. It was so nice to see all my faves together in one context, and Gusโ€™ response ๐Ÿ˜ญ
