Mattie was a strong narrator and I'm not sure the story could be told through anybody elses' eyes. I think this novel was really well written and enjoyed reading it. The story of a 14 year-old girl avenging her father's death in the old west, it screams interesting and the novel kept my attention throughout. Overall it was good, not my favorite book, but an interesting read with some really good writing.
