The Alice Network by Kate Quinn

Amazing historical read. I just love Kate Quinn's books!

I really liked Eve in both timelines. As a young girl and new spy, she took to it so quick and was so good. As an older woman, speaking her mind and not caring what others think. She was masterful to watch (read) in her work at a spy. There was a point in the book that I had to put it down after reading... If you've read this, you might guess the part. I'm not squeamish with much, but that was so hard to read.

Charlie... I thought she was too proper and held her feelings too close to her chest. I like that Eve brought out a different side to Charlie and helped her stand up for herself.
