History Comics: The Roanoke Colony: America's First Mystery by Chris Schweizer
informative
mysterious
slow-paced
3.0
A graphic novel that gives a history of the Roanoke Colony.
This was recommended to me by a librarian and I was excited about the topic of the book, but this book has way too much crammed into it. I feel like how the book was written and presented is more for adults than kids. I kept getting confused by all the different historical figures and the jumping around. Plus some of the "jokes" were so random and felt out of place in a graphic novel for kids.
Overall, this is a graphic novel that tries to be funny and shocking instead of just giving kids the facts about Roanoke.
