Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

3.0

I’m giving this book 3 stars, I wish I could give it more but the idea of the young girls who are merely sixteen years of age, having to be concubines to a wicked, misogynistic, vile “king” is disgusting. I purely enjoyed the relationship between Wren and Lei, it was beautiful. While I wish there would have been more explanation of how the kind found out about wren and Lei, (though we know it’s blue who did it), it would’ve been interesting to see what more might’ve happened. I felt like it was skipped over. Other than that it was a good read.
